  • Ensure you take warm soaking bath before bedtime
  • Sponge the legs with cold water

  • You may wear knee socks
  • Lie down every so often to rest your legs

  2. Quit smoking
  3. Do not consume big meals before bedtime because this draws the blood to stomach so that you do not rest well.
  4. Do not take drugs to induce sleep
  5. Reduce the overall stress level
  6. Do not over use your legs as strenuous exercise may seem to increase the problem
  7. When dealing with restless leg syndrome it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to the cold
