–        It is expectorant – Balsamic, antiseptic, bronchodilator, and mild febrifuge. The essence contained in the eucalyptus bring about these properties mentioned above.

  2. Eucalyptus Essence: With the eucalyptus essence, it is only from four (4) to ten (10) drops that should be administered daily.
  3. It also worthy to note that in the use of eucalyptus oil, it should be diluted.

For External Use only:-

  1. Administer vapor bath on the chest and the head

Applications of the Eucalyptus

Vapor Baths: To take advantage of all the eucalyptus properties, the best method are the vapor baths.

  • Place a handful of the leaves (eucalyptus leaves) in a bowl containing boiling water or using from four (4) to six (6) drops of eucalyptus essence. The person involved must sit down, with a bare torso making sure the head is over the bowl in order to allow the vapor reach the head and chest. This vapor bath must last from six (6) to ten (10) minutes, three times daily.

The evaporated eucalyptus essence and the vapor act directly on chest skin thereby allowing the elimination of toxins through the skin. This alleviates congestion of the lungs.

It may help clear the sinuses:  Eucalyptus oil helps to clear congestion through the inhalation of the eucalyptus oil.

It can fosters mental clarity and help fight brain fog: With the help of eucalyptus oil, the airways are cleared thereby allowing more oxygen into the lungs. It makes breathing easy and for this, some folks breathe it automatically.

It gives relief to the sore muscles and joint pain: Eucalyptus oil has an anti-inflammatory effects which benefits those who must have suffered chronic pain due to intense workout or other activities. With a carrier oil, mix two or three drops and apply on the affected areas. Eucalyptus oil does wonders.

It helps suspend bad breath and keep it at bay: Eucalyptus oil has antimicrobial properties that can fight bad breath. It can also be used as a natural mouthwash. Add some drops into water and gargle and pour it from your mouth. Note: It should not be swallowed.

It combats dandruff: There is presence of anti-fungal components in the eucalyptus oil that help fight against dandruff. Mix two or three drops of the eucalyptus oil with two tablespoons of coconut oil and apply to the scalp and after 20 to 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

It soothes insect bites: Its natural antiseptic can be used on ulcers, bugs, sores, cut, burns etc. Take two or three drops and put it on cotton ball and rub on the affected area two time a day.

When inhaled, its expectorant properties coupled with those of the antiseptic, balsamic help break down the bronchi music and help ease its elimination.

Using Eucalyptus Essence against Cough

  • In half a glass of water, get two (2) spoonful of honey dissolved in it, then add two (2) or three (3) drops of eucalyptus essence. Drink in the case of any throat infections caused by pharyngitis or laryngitis.

Take up to five (5) cups daily as for children, the recommended dose should only be two or three cups a day.

Eucalyptus oil uses 

Caution:

Do not take beyond the doses recommended for internal use. This is applicable to both infusion and essence. High doses may trigger blood in the urine. Adhering to the recommended doses will not bring about any side effects.
