Preparation and Uses

Preparation

Infusion: 5 – 15 minutes

Take 3 oz. 1-3 times daily

Decoction: Simmer 5 – 15 minutes

Take 1 – 2 cups daily.

Tincture: Take 5 – 20 drops 3 times daily

Fluid extract:

Take ½ – 1 teaspoon 3 times daily

Oil: Take 1-3 drops 2 times daily

Powder: Take up to 10 #0 capsules daily.

  1. Internally, they can be taken whole as if they were pills, 6 after each meal, 3 times daily
  2. Infusion with 30 grams of berries per liter of water. Drink 3 cups daily
  3. Essence: it is recommended to take 2 drops, 3 times daily.

Warning

Large doses of juniper berries can be irritating to the kidneys and urinary passages. Another thing is, it may interfere with the absorption of minerals and iron.

Juniper berries should not be used during pregnancy and should not be used for a lengthy period of time, especially those with urinary tract or certain inflammatory diseases. Large pure oil placed on the skin can cause blisters and inflammation.
