  2. For older folks, take natural digestive aids such as bromolain from pineapple or papain from papaya. Papaya contains the digestive enzymes that is lacking in older people. You may take the tablets because they help breakdown protein.
  3. Increase calcium, vitamin D and magnesium.

An aftertaste helps in identifying the problem food, that is, if foods like onions, radishes, turnips, cucumber or cabbage cause indigestion.

  1. Eat more fresh or raw foods than cooked food. This is because fresh and raw foods help produce the enzymes that help digest and assimilate the nutrients.
