  1. Ice

To reduce the swelling, ice the elbow for the first 48 hours, that’s immediately after the symptoms appear. Blood flow will be reduced to the affected area as a result of the cold. It helps decrease inflammation. However, do not apply ice on the elbow directly to avoid causing an injury to the skin.

  1. Rest

  1. Heat

  • B complex ( 1 tablet daily)
  • B1 (50 mg),
  • Vitamin C with bioflavonoids (1, 000 mg for every hour or 2, then 3,000 mg in divided doses for weeks.
  • Vitamin D (400 IU daily for a few weeks)
  • Calcium (1,500 mg) and Magnesium (750 mg) should be in divided daily doses.
  • Ginger has been useful for elbow bursitis treatment at home. Combine it with pineapple and a little licorice for a tasty treat.
  • Licorice is quite effective for elbow bursitis treatment at home. It has no side effect. However, do not take over 3 cups of licorice tea a day.
  • Pineapple has bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory properties. It diminishes swelling, pain and bruising. It also facilitates the healing of joint and tendon injuries. Papaya has similar properties.
  • Curcumin, a compound found in turmeric is quite effective as cortisone in treating certain inflammation, without side effects.
  • Mix ripe pineapple with turmeric and toss in Papaya and ginger.
  • You can take the enzyme alone, take 250 to 500 mg of curcumin and 250 mg bromelain, 3 times a day, between meals.
  • Another one that’s helpful for elbow bursitis treatment at home is the omega-3 fatty acid found in flaxseed oil. It decreases inflammation.
  • For muscles, take magnesium because it helps the bones, muscles and connective tissues.

Avoid the following:

  1. Do not eat meat
  2. Do not eat junk foods or processed foods

Exercises

  1. Touch your shoulder with the same hand
  2. While lying on a bed, lift one leg, knee bent, and bring it towards your chest. Use your hands, holding it below the thigh, to help you

do this. Work up to 10 repetitions.

  1. Clasp your hands behind your head, and touch your elbows. Separate them as widely as possible. Work up to 10 repetitions, gradually.
